The consultant will participate in the on-going development work of a Senior Web Developer. Working with a team of full-time and contract development staff performing Silverlight / .Net development with in the Client's Web Technology organization on an active trader browser tool. Consultant will be a senior developer on the Silverlight Application side of a team which includes UI and server-side developers. *Responsibilities and Skills:* Develop rich internet applications utilizing Silverlight / .Net technologies and related languages C#, XML etc. (and other necessary tools in a UI development environment) as part of a team working on applications in this space. The development of applications and web sites are to meet clients development requirements for look and feel. Consultant will identify and overcome obstacles in project process and technical execution. Implementing departmental policies and processes for all types of development work (unit test discipline, participates in code reviews etc) *Job description:* 1. Strong Blend/XAML skills (the ideal candidate has been working with Blend for 1-2 years) 2. Strong understanding of how to leverage and extend an existing resource dictionaries. Experience with theming applications a plus. 3. Capable of reproducing design flats (PhotoShop files) to pixel perfection in XAML. An eye for detail is key. 4. Candidate has the skills to prototype and implement animations and transitions that are required for a smooth user interaction 5. Experience working collaboratively with a development team 6. Experience working in Agile is a benefit 7. Traditional design skills (e.g. photoshop) for creating design flats (modify existing approaches) is a benefit, but not required 8.
