*Title: Business Objects Developer*
*Location:* San Francisco, CA
*Length of Contract:* 1 Yr.
The Business Objects (BO) Developer is a Business Intelligence (BI) expert
with an understanding of business applications and business process. Should
have minimum 3+ years building Metadata Views using BO Universe Designer for
specific business needs and subject areas as well as building reports using
the BO suite of tools including Web Intelligence, Crystal and
Xcelsius, *(versions
XI R2 and R3.1.)* Must understand Star Schemas and Dimensional modeling
along with ETL tools and techniques, ideally *Informatica.* They must also
have worked with a variety of data sources such as RDBMS and OLAP.
*Responsibilities:*
** Build, maintain, support and conduct end user training on BO Universes
* Build, maintain and support BO Reports
* Build, maintain and support Executive Dashboards
** Utilize existing development standards while innovating our design and
development process and approach
* Assist in process design and stewardship for BI practice
* Identify business requirements (average to complex, operational, tactical
and strategic) relating to business intelligence and develop a long-term
strategy around the delivery options that balance cost of ownership with
business needs.
* Evaluate alternative solutions and translate solutions into design,
development and maintenance
* Assist in the identification, planning, implementation and support of BI
initiatives and mission critical analyses
*Requirements:*
* *Must have 2+ years of Biotech/Pharma experience*
* Must have 3 + years of BO Universe and Report design and development
*experience
with the entire BO suite of tools including Web Intelligence, Designer,
Crystal and Xcelsius
** Must have a thorough understanding of the Administrative tools including
*Central Management Console, Import Wizard, and Business Views Manager
** Must be fluent in JSP, SQL, PL/SQL
* Must have experience with Business Objects *XI SDK*
* Must be familiar the *RoamBI iPhone application*
