*Position : DATABASE MANAGEMENT* *Location: Woodland Hills, CA* *Length: 3-4 months* *Rate: $35/hr* *Database Management and Data Warehouse Administration experience. Ability to program with SAS software with experience on both the mainframe and PC. Knowledge of ACCESS and EXCEL is a plus. * *Project Description:* Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database[s]. Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process. Writes codes for SQL SERVER database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area. 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Little creativity is required. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. Under direct supervision, works from specifications to assist in developing and modifying operating software programming applications. Evaluates, installs, tests, and maintains operating system and third party software products. Monitors and tunes I/O subsystems, operating systems, and online environments to meet service level agreements. Develops, tests, debugs, maintains and documents system exits, ACS routines, automation programs, operating system applications and procedures to enhance system functionality and availability. Provides policy level IT standards and procedures to improve quality assurance, system operation and performance, to maximize system resource utilization. Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. Applications generally deal with utility programs, job control language, macros, subroutines and other control modules. May customize purchased applications and assist in maintaining program libraries and technical manuals. Other duties as assigned.
