Requirements: Self-motivated, reliable individual with the ability to deliver on multiple projects simultaneously. A strong background in backup and recovery in an enterprise environment with Linux, UNIX (Solaris/AIX) and Windows experience. Prior system administration experience is a plus. Experience with Symantec/Veritas Netbackup (version 4.5, 5.1, and 6.X), including IP-based and SAN-based backups, SSO, vaulting, encryption, replication, tape pipelining, and deduplication. Experience configuring fiber channel tape and disk environments consisting of IBM tape libraries, SUN/STK tape devices, and EMC EDL disk subsystems. Previous experience with NDMP, Netbackup VBR, and NOM useful. Responsible for maintaining backup documentation and standards. Will be required to participate in rotating 24x7x365 on call duties. Understanding of IP networking including routing and firewall rule Work with project teams doing data center consolidation including the relocation of systems from remote locations to go forward sites. Additional Requirements: Expert in operating systems, subsystems, and Symantec Vendor products. 6+ years related IT experience. Associate’s / Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Thanks.
