Position: *Database Architect* Length: 18 Months Contract Location: Albany, NY *****Need Consultants Immediately***** *Mandatory Requirements:* Associate’s Degree in computer science or related field. Seven years experience in designing and implementing high volume multiple database environments. Five years experience in: design strategies for migration from hierarchical structures to relational databases and integrating those on multiple platforms design and implementation of data warehousing and data mart activities in a heterogeneous database environment the development and implementation of operational standards and protocols knowledge transfer, transition of systems and mentoring. *Desirable Experience:* 8+ years experience data modeling using enterprise modeling tools in a 3-tiered data warehousing environment with the demonstrated ability to handle multiple data mart development efforts at one time; developing data warehouse solutions in an Oracle environment; establishing standards and creating technical documentation for a data warehouse; implementing database level security protocols; and performing in a technical lead/project manager role. Knowledge of the “Corporate Information Factory” framework a plus. 5+ years demonstrated experience working in the child welfare case management arena to identify and analyze data and reporting requirements, and develop workable data warehousing and reporting solutions. 5+ years experience in metadata management techniques; using Oracle Warehouse Builder; and working with Business Intelligence reporting tools such as Cognos.
