VMWare Administrator needed to come for a face-to-face interview on Tuesday
in Boston, MA. Candidate will start later in the week. Absolutely will not
consider any candidate outside of New England (MA, RI, CT, NH, VT, ME).
We are seeking a candidate with strong expertise in the Windows Server and
VMware 4.0 VSphere environment. This person will be responsible for:
· Handling all day to day requests coming from engineering, QA and
Production Support regarding Server build and Virtualization
· Acting as a point of escalation for production support in the area
of capacity management
· Acting as a resource for critical projects (Lincoln Build Out, 8CC
DC Relocation, etc)
· The individual should have experience working in a application
hosting environment including but not limited to experience with distributed
applications across a Wide Area Network, Working in Co-Located enterprise
data center environments and being prepared to be on-call
· The individual should have solid technical documentation and
communication skills as well as some experience in and around project
management/projectized environments with the ability to organize work and
multi-task
· Other desirable skills/experience include
· Experience administering phone systems; particularly Voice over IP
(VoIP/IP Telephony)
· Experience administering hosted resource accounts (Hosted Services
such as Web Conferencing, etc)
· Experience with LINUX and Open Source applications is a nice to
have
· Experience with Disaster Recovery planning, Capacity Planning and
Business Continuity
