Looking for a *Senior Developer* to update and develop documentation for the
*ELIPSYS database*, which is written in *ADABAS NATURAL (NPL)*. ELIPSYS is
used to manage all data that pertains to the unit such as test scores,
certification lists, employee transactions, etc.
Must have experience in the development and maintenance of ADABAS NATURAL
(NPL) programming. This person will work with the current ELYPSIS programmer
along with the business users and ANF IT staff to update and develop
documentation for this system. The person will be responsible for
documenting the architecture of the system and analyzing what should be done
moving forward to prepare for an upgrade to a web-based application.
Duties:
- Recognize system deficiencies and recommend effective solutions.
- Communicate and enforce coding.
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet
changing needs and requirements.
- Understand complex database concepts as well as the implications of
different database designs.
- Effectively employ many different database design techniques.
- Create XML schemas.
- Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate
alternative business solutions with project management.
- Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with
possible solutions.
- Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and
deepen client relationships.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Experience in the development and maintenance of ADABAS NATURAL (NPL)
programming.
- Extensive Experience Documenting Data Base Applications.
- Ability to understand complex database concepts as well as the
implications of different database designs.
- Demonstrated experience with different database design techniques.
- Possesses demonstrated work experience with more than one relational
database management system.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge of at least one structured programming
language.
- Understanding of the benefits of the various programming languages.
- Possesses significant knowledge of client server and internet systems
architectures.
- Understanding of browser specific compatibility issues.
- Understanding of the benefits of the various design methodologies and
object oriented environments.
- Experience in facilitating effective team interaction.
