Hi, Client is looking for a Information Architect: User Interface Design for a contract of 5 months in MN. Description: Information Architect to create engaging and attractive user interfaces for WestlawNext. We are seeking a passionate individual to help us create products that will allow our customers to understand and manipulate large amounts of complex information. The ideal candidate is someone who is not only technically competent, but also has a great aesthetic design sense and enjoys working on fast paced, exciting projects. Requirements: • 5+ years experience with information architecture of complex websites • Significant experience developing interface mockups, wireframes, flowcharts, prototypes, and style guides • Portfolio of work • Solid understanding of principles of information organization and user interface design • Demonstrated ability to document complex designs • Thorough understanding of web technology and desktop software • Willingness to experiment with new designs and interactions • Knowledge of fundamental design principles and disciplines that affect typography, color use, animation, composition, use of space, distribution of information, etc. • Excellent writing and verbal skills • Strong presentation skills • Excellent time-management, multi-tasking ability, and the ability to prioritize • Ability to communicate design concepts, build consensus, and justify decisions • Significant experience designing user interfaces with Visio or similar tools • Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS design capabilities Preferred Education, Experience, and Capabilities: • Degree in information science, information design, human-computer interaction, anthropology, cognitive psychology, or related fields • Experience designing for iPad and other mobile devices • Visual design skills are a plus Please complete the following skills matrix and send back with your resume.
