Position: *Sr. Level Testers (4 positions)* Location: *Washington** DC* Duration: *8 months* *Job Description:* - Support functional and backend testing of a j2ee application with rules. - Develop and conduct a wide range of tests and analysis to ensure that software, systems, and services meet minimum company standards and defined end-user and system requirements. - Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience from which knowledge and skills may be obtained. - Four - Six years experience testing distributed web-based applications or complex financial systems. *Applicant must possess the following skills: * - UNIX - SQL - Working understanding of Oracle/DB2/SQL Server - Working knowledge of software development life cycle - Create test cases and test data using Rational/Mercury tools - Execute test cases and provide metrics and updates to the test lead - Accessing Web application Unix logs and accessing database via SQL to validate test cases and troubleshoot system malfunctions. - Create and update the RTM as required - Document test results and coordinate with peers on testing activities - Conduct a wide range of tests and analysis with full competency to ensure that software, systems, and services meet minimum company standards and defined end-user (functional) and system (non-functional) requirements. - Knowledge of QTP/VB scripting or Rational Robot - Exposure to performance testing - Knowledge of PE Selling and Pricing systems is desirable - Experience with data conversion testing - Experience using ILOG BRMS - Mainframe Experience *Comments:* Individual should be a strong team player in a cross functional environment. Individual should demonstrate strong analytical skills, detail oriented, should display strong verbal and written communication skills be proactive in identifying risks related to testing. The abilities to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage a dynamically changing workload are important.
