*Inperson after initial phone screen* *Title:** SHAREPOINT DEVELOPER* * * *Location: *ROSELYN VA** * * *Length: 12 **months * * * Prefer GC/Citizens or H1’s with 4 yrs of US stay Dept/Div: CIO – Application Development Reports to: Manager, Application Development** The Applications Development Directorate is responsible for developing and maintaining applications to support the business functions of the OIG. Section I: Position Description** · Will serve as a Web Application Developer for the USPS OIG Intranet project · Understands, develops, implements, and maintains web application frameworks utilizing: o Best practices in development methodologies o Widget development and implementation in web site publishing frameworks · Ensures project management and defined software development standards and procedures are followed · Satisfies requirements, meets agreed to completion date(s), and performs unit and integration tests for products developed.. · Works with team members and the system architect and accepting content in various forms, such as excel sheets, word documents, pdf etc from end users. · Writes reusable widgets for an existing SharePoint 2007 infrastructure allowing end users to maintain their own content · Works with a graphics designer to adapt a consistent look and feel and required for a given task · Author XSL style sheets allowing flexible rendering of content across the site · Works with the System architect and other team members on application and content architecture and work distribution · Sets up content architecture in a current site structure, with emphasis on end users being able to maintain their content themselves · Responsible for providing support to end users in maintaining content on their various web pages · Responsible for providing support to tech writers in helping them create training materials that would help assist end users in maintaining their content. · Communicates with end users, team lead and team members, the details of the proposed design, and progress on the work · Responsible for estimating work content and achieving planned timelines · Responsible for following project management / lifecycle development processes, procedures, and database standards to achieve quality assurance. · Responsible for creating test standards and documents, and reviewing team member’s work for quality assurance purposes Section II: Position Requirements** Primary Requirements:** · Demonstrated expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/XSL, ASP.NET2.0, C#, TSQL and PL/SQL and object oriented concepts · Good team working skills and meticulous attention to detail · Familiarity with SharePoint 2007 Secondary Requirements:** None Desired Requirements** None Section III: Experience** A minimum of 4 years of experience working on web based development projects involving Microsoft technologies.
