The selected candidate should be able to lead and manage ETL projects and to guide a small team of ETL Developers. This person should have broad and deep understanding of challenges with data management in large enterprises, data acquisition, integration and data quality architecture, and extensive experience in developing and managing full life cycle of ETL deliverables. Any prior experience in automating Data validation processes, performance metrics, Informatica upgrades will be considered as a huge plus. Prior experience in Media/Entertainment industry is preferred. This position is based in the NY Metro area. Off-hour support is part of this role, typically a small percent of time. *Required Qualifications: ** *• Experience leading ETL engagements from design through implementation for large/complex data. • At least 6+ years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter. Must have worked on Informatica 8.5.1 or above. • Strong knowledge in design, development, testing, and implementing ETL jobs (session partitioning) in Informatica Power Center 8.5.1. • Good knowledge of ETL processes and Informatica Best Practices. • Expert level knowledge and hands-on experience with PowerCenter administration activities including Version Control Management. • Ability to gather business requirements from the Business Intelligence team and transform into functional requirements and test plans. • Ensure adherence of projects and initiatives to the data roadmaps, ETL architecture and solutions to address data challenges of the initiatives. Identify shared data sources, components and services. • Map source-to-target elements, design and develop transformation processes to load data from source to target, develop and tune Informatica maps and sessions. • Knowledge of Oracle database is required. • Extensive knowledge in performance tuning, surrogate key assignments and partitioning techniques. • Understanding of Data Quality in Business Intelligence environment is required. • Understanding of change management and production support processes. • Able to provide technical support and mentoring to team members. • Able to prepare implementation plan and contingency plan for supported applications. • Strong communication skills and able to independently work with Business Analysts. • Experience with dimensional data modeling techniques. • Informatica certification is desirable. • Willing to provide off-hour support. *Preferred qualifications: ** *• Experience in AIX Platform. • Experience in automating Data validation processes, performance metrics. • Experience in Informatica upgrades. • Experience in AutoSys or Tidal batch scheduling tool.
