Troubleshoot database connectivity issues. * *• Database Planning: Perform capacity planning activities related to database storage, CPU, memory, and network utilization. Maintain and utilize database performance monitoring software. * *• Backup and Recovery: Plan, prepare, and test backup and recovery procedures for all production databases. * *• Database Tuning: Optimize the database environment(s) with respect to data access methods, access performance, storage, data integrity, system performance, and system availability. Manipulate tuning parameters where needed to enhance performance. Identify processing bottlenecks and inefficiencies.* *• Application Support: Provide assistance for the application support teams to resolve production database related issues.
