Works with the client community in the definition of scope, requirements, processes, & procedures to ensure the success of projects. · Applies development methodologies to projects of various sizes: reviews application functions to create project charters, creates project plans in concert with business clients, monitors & reports progress against those plans. Looks for ways to enhance application design & development practices and ensures quality is built into every deliverable—from first project requirement to final function created within the software. · Stays current with and provides leadership/direction to the corporation in the use of new or emerging technologies, SAP BI enhancements and upgrades. Makes recommendations for improvement on IT or business-related issues. · Participates in or may lead evaluation/selection of internal vs. external resources/software providers (SAP partners, bolt-ons, etc…). Assists in the selection process for acquiring resources and may lead resources through project or production support assignments and provides feedback for resources. May negotiate contracts and establish statements of work for external resources. · Applies good project planning/project management skills to work independently or to lead projects of various sizes.
