Job Requisition Name: DATASTAGE, ETL, ORACLE Technical Analyst/Developer End Date: 06/30/2011 Location: REMOTE Primary Skills: Oracle, SQL Data Access # of Years Required: 4-6 Secondary Skills: Cobol, JCL # of Years Required: 0-2 *Must have ETL experience with DataStage with an Oracle backend. Informatica is a nice to have. Omni experience is also a nice to have.* *Job Purpose/ Description: * • Develops using the database Structured Query Language (SQL) and its various extensions. • Examples of current SQL-based databases are Oracle, DB2, Sybase, and Microsoft SQL Server. • Leverages a solid grasp of database design techniques when developing. • Strong ability to work with the business community to gather and analyze business requirements and create technical / functional specifications; performs the development and implementation of these specifications into code. • Leads complex / major efforts regarding the design, development, and testing of computer programs and/or application components. • Serves as subject matter expert (SME) in assigned area. • Resolves complex application and technical problems. • May serve as departmental liaison to interdepartmental or interdivisional project initiatives. • Analyzes complex performance and capacity issues with systems / applications software and/or application components. • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies. • Provides mentoring and training to more junior staff. • Handles complex operational tasks and recommends processing and technology changes. • Leads evaluations of systems / applications software technologies. • May lead project teams. • Strong ability to work collaboratively with IT staff on development, troubleshooting, and other technical efforts. *Tasks and Responsibilities: * • Strong knowledge of business requirements and processes to be leveraged for the creation of functional / technical specifications and their development into code. • Must have ETL experience with DataStage with Oracle backend. Informatica would be a nice to have. • Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve business and/or technical problems. • Possesses a strong understanding of programming languages, development tools, and the current environment. • Possesses a strong understanding of business requirements and IT strategies; draws on broad knowledge base (e.g., infrastructure, technology, and applications) to analyze complex problems and contribute to troubleshooting efforts. • Leverages strong design understanding and/or capabilities (e.g., database, application code, reusable objects, and interfaces) to optimize development efforts in a distributed environment; good understanding of development technology used to support one or more business operations areas. • May be required to coordinate small numbers of junior staff in the execution of projects. • Responds to direct questions from IT Management or the business on the effects of emerging technologies on product development and business directions; may provide buy vs. build recommendations or assist in platform determination. *Required education/experience: * • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. • 8 to 11 years of IT work experience in systems programming / analysis • Typically experienced across two Information Technology areas or in a single system / applications software development technology across multiple computing platforms. • Responsibilities more heavily weighted toward analytics than operations. • Practical experience of project management disciplines -- Regards, Shankar 248-522-6879 Technology consultanst inc -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
