Title: ICAM Data Architect
Job ID - 1263303
Role Summary/Purpose:
Serve as Energy Services Data Architect for ICAM. Initial focus will be
supporting ES/CS/AS IM teams to review current data architect of the
ICAM application and drive optimizaiton of the environment. Individual
will work to establish data standards for all future work in the
Application, DWH, and future integrations. Data Architect will
coordinate all data efforts around digitization/Lean opportunities with
new enhancements or new business that come into the ICAM environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Data Management Architect develops practical and innovative ways to
identify and meet goals. In this role you will be responsible for work
that is less defined in scope, utilize your understanding and experience
to execute business objectives, and have the ability to effect
short-term and some long-term business goals.
. Serve as key producer of data management products for assigned
projects and areas.
. Provide technical and/or project leadership function for assigned
engineering analysis and computing projects.
. Design, test, and install, database management systems for use with
applications; monitor database usage; ensure appropriate linkages with
applications and to other data processing systems.
. Responsible for the control, integrity, and accessibility of the
database file structure of one or more databases with multiple
concurrent users.
. Construct database specifications, provide fault isolation and
resolution, tune database applications for optimum performance, and
implement disaster recovery and contingency plans.
. Assist others in the accomplishment to work assignments through
technical leadership.
. Provide technical expertise and counsel to management, other
organizations, and special projects personnel.
. Direct the preparation of and approve appropriate reports and
communicate status and results.
. Make technical decisions by applying fundamental engineering
principles and specialized knowledge or skills to assigned tasks.
. Establish the priority of work and assignment of personnel to meet
objectives.
. Estimate costs and schedules, recommend resource required and
solutions to problems, which arise during the course of a project.
. Serve as a primary interface with internal and external contributing
organization relative to technical requirements, directions and problem
resolution.
. Collaborate with management in developing technical directions,
setting objectives, and setting realistic and challenging goals.
. Formulate plans to achieve overall goals, technical requirements,
schedules, and contract commitments for assigned tasks.
. Implement work activities to meet these plans, monitor progress, and
report status.
. Identify resources required for implementation of the plans.
. Provide timely leadership and direction to supporting organizations.
. Assist in the modification or establishment of operating practices.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- with at least 7 years of information systems design, implementation,
or integration) . At least 3 additional years of experience in data
management, storage, or database implementation.
Desired Characteristics:
- Established organizational, planning, and project management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
- Experience working in a global environment team members working
remotely located in various time zones.
- Ability to influence and gain commitment at all organizational levels.
- Experience using Six Sigma tools and techniques.
