Shield, Detroit, MI 6 month contracts. ** *Job Summary *The Technical Lead's primary goal is to contribute to the technical delivery of IT solutions with the functionality required, delivered on time, to meet the business need. Provides strategic and tactical technical leadership to drive project progress to an aggressive schedule. Working to initially develop requirements and functional specifications, the Delivery Lead is expected to contribute significantly as a technical health care subject matter expert. The Technical Lead is wholly responsible for the group’s technical schedule, implementation, development testing, issue investigation and correction. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** *· Leads and delegates design and implementation details to the technical team for assigned feature and functionality based upon business requirements. · Works closely with the Delivery Lead to provide oversight of the technical design and implementation including the early identification and management of risk and issues. · Develops detailed estimates, technical work plans, schedules and capacity planning for resources. Is accountable for monitoring and reporting on project metrics, issues, risks and overall progress. Maintains detailed documentation of the technical solution and implementation. · Identifies, communicates and reports significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule to the Delivery Lead and elsewhere as required. · Responsible for the quality and content of information presented at the Quality Reviews and all other development gates. · Gains a clear understanding of contribution of assigned tasks to the overall team or project schedule and advocates for support and priority when necessary from other BI areas. · Provides implementation assistance and information about existing implementations to peers, business partners as necessary and to other coordinating IT areas. · Maintains and builds core competency of technical and business knowledge and sharing it with colleagues to help drive the future direction of your team. · Collaborates with Business Lead(s) to produce high quality solutions to better support successful projects. · Demonstrates strong team work to foster effective team dynamics and cohesive working environment; which include mentoring less experienced colleagues. · Collaborates with peer teams to resolve design and implementation details as they evolve. *Required Skills/Experience:** *· 5 - 8 years relevant project/program or team leadership experience in IT. · 5 - 8 years healthcare industry experience. · 5 - 8 years technical experience in software development, supporting major applications, or experience working with BI implementations or maintenance · Experience in interpreting government regulations (eg. NPI, Medicare Advantage, HIPAA) · Experience with large enterprise projects, preferably associated with the health insurance industry; familiarity with RUP · Experience in converting strategies and concepts to structured tactical plans · Demonstrated strong leadership skills · Proficient in formal project management methodologies · Excellent understanding of risk management / mitigation · High proficiency (expert-level) in the use of MS-Project · Able to effectively interact with program sponsor, business client, and the IT division resources. · Demonstrated successful experience with business requirements management and scope containment · Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills; demonstrated success on work teams · Excellent oral and written communication skills; willingness to keep all parties well informed of project status, changes and potential risks · Work group and JAD facilitation experience for technical and business interfaces *Preferred Skills/Experience:** *· Understanding of Oracle, DB2, SQL, and COGNOS, Informatica and other health insurance industry BI and IT applications related to marketing, sales, web interfaces, medical management etc. · Understanding of system development lifecycles · Understanding of data modeling fundamentals of data warehousing · Balanced skill-set which includes project management, health insurance business, and information technology skills · Understanding of audit techniques to ensure technical and functional design is aligned regulations and well documented · Understanding of and ability to work with vendor agreements *Education/Certifications:** *· Bachelor's degree in IT required · Masters degree preferred -- Regards, Shankar 248-522-6879 Technology consultanst inc -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
