I need a Project Manager for my client in Hartford, CT.The project is 4 months and begins January 15, 2011. Ideally, I need a Project Manager with proven experience providing team leadership and ensuring that project team members meet or exceed goals, builds collaborative relationships with business partners by providing constant communication, regular input and feedback to create win-win solutions. The candidate must have: - Demonstrated experience initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects associated with the development and implementation of business applications and technology solutions. - Thorough understanding and experience of Agile methodologies to deliver business solutions incrementally, and mentors project team members on project management processes, best practices and standards. - Interacts with Business Partners and IT to ensure features and specifications are understood. - Ability to define and manage priorities, scope, change control, and risks. Ability to create and communicate project status to teams and stakeholders. The candidate will: - Provide guidance, training, and coaching to project team members. Identify, manage and coordinate all resources required for the project, including outside vendors. Direct the planning and execution of assigned projects. - Adopt and implements project management best practices. - Facilitate effective and efficient meetings; identifies and resolve issues. - Manage one large or multiple small projects and preserve key project documents. - Create Project Charters, Business Cases, and Work Breakdown Structures to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
