Extension is Probable.*** *DUE: COB Wednesday 1/5/11*** DESCRIPTION/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The Environmental Affairs Division (ENV) of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) requires the services of one Java web developer. The developer will be responsible for the development of the Texas Environmental Compliance Oversight System (ECOS) application. The services to be provided by the Workers will include, but will not be limited to the following: A. Work with employees from ENV and Technology Services Division (TSD) to analyze current processes for each process area. B. Work with TxDOT data modelers to develop both logical and physical data models that comply with TxDOT data standards. C. Employ Joint Application development workshop techniques to develop prototypes for review by TxDOT personnel. D. During application construction, establish checkpoint workshops with TxDOT (ENV and TSD) employees to ensure knowledge transfer of application development. E. Develop and document test plans to be used during application testing. F. Maintain a debug/defect tracking process during application testing. G. Develop and document installation procedures for deployment of applications to both test and production environments. H. Interface with TxDOT business and technical personnel regarding the impact of implementations on business functions, local office technical support and agency-wide core technologies (i.e. databases, email, office suites, networks, servers, etc.). The TxDOT technical environment for implementing web-based applications includes Windows XP clients, Windows Server 2003/7, SQL Server, and Oracle DBMS. I. Provide knowledge transfer to ENV and TSD personnel to ensure ongoing support for the implemented applications. J. Perform other related services as assigned by Texas ECOS project leader. Minimum Requirements:** Years Skills/Experience 4 Experience using Java to develop enterprise web-based applications. 4 Experience working with Oracle DBMS to develop enterprise web-based applications. 3 Verbal and written communications skills including presentation, training and project documentation skills. 3 Working experience and knowledge of Windows XP, and Windows servers as they related to web-based applications. 3 Ability to communicate with business and technical personnel. 3 Ability to transfer knowledge to business and technical personnel. 3 Experience working with end users to analyze documents and business processes for enterprise web-based applications. ** Preferences:** Years Skills/Experience 1 Experience using the Eclipse IDE A bachelors or masters degree majoring in computer science or related information systems degree. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
