Start Date/End Date : *Mon, Jan 31, 2011 / Sat, Dec 31, 2011 * * * Description *Candidate submittals accepted through *Wednesday, January 19th*. * *Position Description: SAP Functional Analyst for Plan to Inventory (PTI), provides expertise in all aspects of SAP's Production Planning and Process Industry module (PP_PI) aiding the implementation and ongoing maintenance and support of SAP.* *The SAP Functional Analyst will be instrumental in aiding the business in supporting the current implementation of SAP in the Western Hemisphere. This position provides expertise in the PP_PI module, providing guidance and insights about the nature of and implementation of the PP_PI module to the implementation teams, end users, IT specialists, and other internal and external resources.* *This is a hands-on role in working with and supporting the current implementation of the Western Hemisphere and may include assisting in the successful planning, configuration and fielding issues of the PP_PI module as it relates to the Eastern Hemisphere implementation.* *As an analyst, the SAP Functional Analyst must have strong verbal and written communications skills, and be adept at interacting with end users throughout the life-cycle of the assignment.* * Supervision: No supervision responsibilities* * Responsibilities/Accountabilities: * *Position will be responsible for the analysis, problem solving, design, implementation, and support of solutions for client activities in various business functions as they relate to the PP_PI module. This individual will work with team leads and other team members from other modules when required to assist with design and implement business process changes by integrating new systems and business processes with existing ones when determined.* *Essential Functions • SAP Help Desk support • Perform as a technical / functional analyst, ensuring day-to-day support of existing applications. • Ability to assist with preparing master data templates and assist with populating the cleansed data. • Explore opportunities to leverage SAP to design / configure new solutions that add business value. • Work closely with SAP team leads and business team leads to understand current and future business needs. • Proficient with gate methodology steps and creating and maintaining documentation. • Estimate new efforts, define business cases, and determine resources required from the business and IT to deliver business solutions. • Meet with end users to gather requirements and understand detailed business processes to ensure that delivered solutions satisfy client requirements effectively and efficiently in the integrated system environment. • Ability to develop functional specifications • Communicate functional specifications for development by programming resources • Develop test scripts, execute and analyze test script results for integration and regression testing. • Proactively identify and resolve issues • Communicate effectively with business and IT resources in a timely manner. • Exhibit superior verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management, key business users and IT. • Exhibit the ability to take initiative, work independently, and prioritize time effectively to deliver in a timely manner. • Follow existing change management procedures and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained for all changes. • Ensure training documentation is up to date and training needs are met for both team members and end users. • Ensure effective data management & reporting for functional area. • Facilitate cross-training and mentoring within the IT team to ensure effective support and on-going personnel development.* *Must have: • Experience and working knowledge of the PP_PI module functionality • Demand management and forecasting experience • Experience and working knowledge of the IMG as it relates to the PP_PI module, especially with process instruction related activity • Report design skillset in SAP including queries and ABAP report specification documents • Responsive in SAP Help Desk support * * Qualifications: * *• 5 years SAP/PP_PI • Configuration • Minimum of 3 full implementations • Participated in the end to end implementation of multiple SAP solutions. • Demonstrated problem solving / analytical skills. • Ability to effectively manage priorities of self and others, create focus, eliminate roadblocks, and use time effectively.
