* * * * *LOCATION* *BALTIMORE** MD* ** ** * * *Length* * * *Multi –year project * * * ** * * ** * * * * ** * * *JOB TITLE: Data Warehouse Developer (, ETL, Data Marts)* * * *Job Description: * The selected candidate is responsible for *Architect-level design choices, requirements gathering and analysis, to include business process analysis and modeling, usability, and Section 508 compliance. *He/she works without technical oversight and is regarded as an expert. Will serve as the technical lead for all design choices and requirements analysis efforts on the Task Order. Analyzes, evaluates, modifies, configures, tests and implements enterprise wide purchased systems (e.g. SAP, PeopleSoft, etc.) Prepares application system specifications. Plans, implements and coordinates system upgrades, enhancements or maintenance. *REQUIREMENTS* * Responsible for dictating design choices to software developers, including but not limited to: platforms, coding and technical levels. His/her goal is to gain a complete understanding of clients' needs and effectively communicate them to the software design team * Plans, directs, and executes requirements analysis, business process modeling, usability and 508 compliance for development projects * Provides Architect-level information technology recommendations and solutions in support of customer requirements *Applies industry best-practices and expertise regarding emerging technologies, risk mitigation, and continuity planning * Supervise subordinate personnel and is responsible for continuity training and employee development * Plans and conducts tests, and may establish a lab environment for usability testing; * Ensures accurate documentation of technical specifications * Primary point of contact with the customer in compiling specifications for information systems development * Identify talent, tools, and resources, in support of customer initiatives, goals, and strategies * manages the full life cycle of the process, monitoring research, reviewing codes and supervising any testing * Tracking and maintaining all records and metric, reports the project's progress to management. *Responsibilities:* Find/generate executive level support for the data warehouse initiative Define key business drivers for the data warehouse initiative Deliver a project scope that directly supports the key business drivers Define the overall data warehouse architecture (e.g., ETL process, ODS, EDW, Data Marts) Define technical requirements, technical and data architectures for the data warehouse Recommend/select data warehouse technologies (e.g., ETL, DBMS, Data Quality, BI) Direct the discovery process Design and direct the ETL process, including data quality and testing Design and direct the information access and delivery effort for the data warehouse Define and direct the implementation of security requirements for the data warehouse Define meta data standards for the data warehouse Direct the data warehouse meta data capture and access effort Define production release requirements and sustainment architecture Skills Requirements: Experience in enterprise web application development Strong data modeling skills (normalized and multidimensional) Current knowledge of the data warehouse market; vendors, and standards bodies Strong technical skills with all data warehousing technologies (e.g., ETL, ODS, DBMS, BI) Experience in leading successful enterprise data warehousing efforts Experience in Dimensional Modeling, ETL, OLAP and Report Development Experience with Web Standards, Classic Web Development Concepts (State Management, Stateless Development) Experience in requirements evaluation (translating functional specifications into technical solutions) Strong business and communication skills Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint 2007 Broad based information technology experience (e.g., languages, methods, EAI, XML) direct working experience in an application development capacity -- Regards, Shankar 248-522-6879 Technology consultanst inc -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
