Title: Peoplesoft Project Manager Duration: March 14, 2011 – October 31, 2011 Max C2C Pay rate: $80/hr Location: Sacramento, CA Project Management – Senior Project Manager/Project Manager: 1. Manage and monitor all project phases and project scope, schedule, resources, quality, issues, risks, and costs. 2. Provide day-to-day direction to include monitoring and facilitating progress, resolving issues and risks, ensuring product quality, and communicating appropriate information to all stakeholders in a timely manner. 3. Manage and assist ITSB and/or HRSD with the procurement of the required PeopleSoft HCM software including but not limited to; UPK – Time & Labor, and Application Solution Center (ASC) Service Cost. 4. Manage issues and risks, and provide mitigation strategies as needed and escalates issues that cannot be resolved at lower levels. 5. Conduct and facilitate meetings, as required, for project teams, stakeholders, executive sponsors, project sponsors, Human Resource subject matter experts and other business areas, development teams, ITSB PeopleSoft support teams, and/or other ITSB technical areas. 6. Work in partnership with Information Technology Services Branch (ITSB) Technical Manager(s) and technical staff to plan and coordinate technical requirements, design, development, and implementation of this upgrade. 7. Must fully assist in the upgrade of current PeopleSoft HRMS 8.9 to PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 and assist in the management/transition as needed, of customizations of the software per HR and IT requirements and the HCM 9.1 software 8. Provide effective communication with project teams, project sponsor(s), and Leadership to ensure project success. 9. Provide status to the Project Management Office (PMO) Manager and other project stakeholders on time and with quality. 10. Provide first level review and approval of project deliverables. 11. Prepare and coordinate agendas and topics for Project Sponsor/Team status meetings. 12. Develop, manage, and monitor project schedule utilizing Project Management Methodology standard Primavera scheduling tool. 13. Enter project information and status on a weekly basis within Enterprise Project Portfolio on time and with quality for the life of the project. 14. Ensure project schedule is developed in detail and baselined on time within Primavera. 15. Develop project specific Gantt charts, high level project timelines, and/or other visual charts to depict status of project for various audiences. 16. Must follow ITSB policies and procedures. 17. Track post-implementation “lessons learned” after each project phase. 18. Must prepare and deliver monthly status report utilizing Project Management Methodology standard status report 19. Must utilize the ITSB IISD PMO project methodology templates as needed. 20. Must attend ITSB IISD PMO and Project Management Review meetings as needed. 21. Must gain approval and acceptance of Maintenance and Operations manual for the PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 upgrade solution. 22. Must utilize ADKAR Change Management methodology for the life of the project to assist users with system changes based on newly upgraded PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 system. 23. The upgrade must not pose a risk to the Pension Resumption System (PSR) project currently in execution phase at CalPERS. 24.
