*Job title : Solaris Architect Location : NYC,NY (Local to NY/NJ) Duration : 6+Months Rate : $65/Hr* Must Have: Heavy WebLogic is a MUST and Heavy Apache is a MUST for the UNIX Architects, and Heavy IIS is a MUST for Windows Architects. Job Description: The Solutions Engineers will support a wide variety of business and technology projects, this position will report to the Director of Solutions Engineering and will work in close concert with the Senior Solutions Engineers on project activities. The Solutions Engineer via a matrix alignment will work with the Senior Solutions Engineers to the development, documentation and implement the technical solutions required to support business infrastructure and project needs. The Solutions Engineer will have expert level knowledge in designing implementing and testing complex technical architectures in support of business needs. The Solutions Engineer should also be able to capture, document and utilize business and technical requirements to support engineering projects from Initiate through production turnover. . Technologies include Wintel based Application Hosting Products such as Apache and IIS Unix Based Application Hosting Products such as WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache High Availability Clustering Technologies such as WebLogic Clustering Database technologies such as My SQL, SQL, Oracle including replication technologies Supporting networking architecture tools such as Local and Global Load Balancing. Authentication Technologies Active Directory. LDAP, eRights , Oracle Identity Management Linux, Windows, and Unix Hardware/Operating Systems High Availability Clustering Technologies including Microsoft and Veritas Clustering Services Server Virtualization Technologies across Linux, Unix, and Windows Operating Systems. Remote Server Management Technologies High Availability Solutions including Replication, Load Balancing, Disaster Recovery Tools Skill Set: Strong (architect level) skills, primarily Weblogic Knowledge with Apache and IIS. Must have: Well spoken Excellent documentation and architecture skills Understanding of clustering, HA, DR technologies and theories Experience in converting business requirements into technical requirements Understanding of a multi tiered application environment Experience with application firewall rule requests Hardware HP and SUN platforms a plus Application priorities Weblogic (must) Apache (must) Tomcat JBoSS IIS (must) SQL and Oracle ( a plus ) Virtualization priorities LDOMS (nice to have) ZONES (nice to have) Windows/Linux (VMWare) OS 1.
