Position : .net/c# developer - senior level LOCATION: Alexandria, VA LENGTH: 6 months RATE: DOE/HR Resolution Health, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of WellPoint (a Fortune 50 company), has an opportunity for a Sr. Application Developer in its Alexandria, VA offices, with occasional travel to Columbia, MD. Resolution Health translates health information into personal health care guidance, connecting more knowledgeable patients with more informed doctors and care managers to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of health care for each individual. Job Description: The Sr. Application Developer is responsible for software design and development in implementing system requirements and technical specifications; Perform design and source code review. Perform unit testing and dev testing. Providing technical supervision to junior developers; preparing technical and other project documentation; performing other duties as required to ensure that products or features meet requirements and quality standards. Primary skills required for the position include: • Expert in building web enabled applications using *ASP.Net. with C#* • Expert in database programming with MS SQL Server • In depth understanding of Microsoft .NET framework • Expert in object-oriented programming • Experience with XML and XSLT. • Demonstrated team work experience, ability to work effectively as member of a team with minimal guidance • Demonstrated design, analytical and problem solving abilities • Working experience with Service Oriented Architecture environment and application • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Experience using Visual Studio or Team System • Experience with developing WinForm/desktop application or other rich client application a plus • Experience with O/R mapping software such as NHibernate a plus Education and Experience: • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. • Minimum 4 years experience in Object Orientated Programming. • Minimum 7 years of in-depth web application and database programming experience • Experience with developing large scale web application a plus • Experience with healthcare application or data processing and analyses a plus. • Experience in software development life cycle and structured systems development methodologies.
