*Job Description*

*Role and Responsibilities*

*A development lead’s responsibilities include the following:*

·         Manage developers’ tasks and ensure work load queue is always
filled.

·         Manages and oversees tasks of all developers on team.

·         Manages all aspects of application development for the project.

·         Manage a development staff for the project that is located at
multiple locations.

·         Translate business rules into well designed tech spec documents.

·         Review technical specification documents created by other team
members.

·         Provide technical knowledge or expertise to team members and
clients.

·         Work with project management to ensure requirements are being met
within provided timeline and properly allocate resources to fulfill the
requirements.

·         Ensure that the development team adheres to 3M development
standards and procedures

·         Collaborates with the architecture team when design new functions
or features are required.

·         Provide priorities and focus for project development team and
ensure that team is following those directions.

·         Design, code, and test technical solutions.

·         Communicate effectively with other disciplines including other
Architects, Developers, Program Management, Quality Assurance, Product
Management, Infrastructure/Communications, and Production Support

·         Participates in the recruitment of new hires through our
interviewing process and in recruiting events



*Qualifications and Education Requirements*

·         Minimum 8 years experience coding in .NET with emphasis on C# as a
programming language, ASP .Net, ADO.Net and SQL Server 2000/2005/2008.

·         Ability to communicate effectively within the team to ensure
current organization standards and procedures are met.

·         Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
required.

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,
Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience. Relevant job
experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree.

*Preferred Skills*

·         Experience with large-scale enterprise applications deployed using
.NET. – is this a requirement?

·         Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge
base and proficiencies.

·         Experience in the Motor Vehicle Industry preferred.

·         Relative Microsoft Certification is preferred, but not required.

·         Past lead experience
