Title: Sr. Web Developer/Technical Analyst

Location: Raleigh, NC
Duration: 3-6 Months
*Description:*
· A Senior Web Developer/Technical Analyst for the project, the
selected candidate will be primarily responsible for:
· Creating a written assessment of the technical condition and
high-level inventory of the existing application code, with an understanding
of the architecture, database, and external system integration points.
· Identifying the types of documentation, processes, and procedures
required to support the application, and determining the gap between what
already exists and what is needed.
· Creating the documentation, templates, and specifications needed
for ongoing application support where it does not exist, and verifying that
they are complete and functional for execution of maintenance and support
activities.
· This includes such items as: system inventory, technical
architecture, configuration management requirements and implications, change
management procedures, and other operations and technical support processes
identified.
· Creating a written assessment of any additional technical resource
needs to support the system.
· Identify the cause of any high-priority production issues,
generate a software patch to correct the defect, and implement the patch in
production using standard release support practices.
*Candidate Qualifications and Requirements:*
· Candidates must have extensive knowledge of operations and system
support processes and procedures that are necessary for support of a large,
complex system.
· The candidate’s experience must be strong enough to be able to
quickly, but thoroughly, review the system and make recommendations for
support needs, without constant supervision.
· Accuracy and attention to detail, as well as, excellent written
and verbal communication skills are very important.
· Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of extensive hands-on
experience with web-based software development, maintenance & support of
automated systems, as well as, technical documentation.
· Knowledge of property appraisal processing and software tools is
highly desired, but not required.
*Candidates must have demonstrated results in the following areas:*
· System design and code specification documentation.
· Code development and review.
· Software testing (especially unit, system, and integration
testing).
· Change management methodology.
· Issue tracking and resolution.
· Support team organization and team communications.
*The candidate’s technical experience should include the following software
tools:*
*(ASP.Net recent over 2 yrs) and ("Lotus Notes" over 1 yrs)*
*Preferred:*
ASP.Net 1.1, C#, Lotus Notes - Email & Calendar, Oracle PL/SQL 9i & 11gMS,
Office, Visual Studio 2003, Crystal Reports 11, JavaScript, HTML, XML,
Virtual Source Safe and/or TFS, Toad 7.0 and/or SQL Developer, MS Windows
Server 2003, IIS 6.0, MTS 2.0, IE 6.0, 7.0, Infragistics NetAdvantage for
ASP.Net 1.1
