*Title: SQL Database Administrator – IIS/MS* *Location:* Everett, WA – *the resource must be on-site – phone screen only* *Duration: 4 months* Major Job Duties and Responsibilities · Coordinate between developers and analysts to make changes to existing databases and database management systems. · Direct others in coding logical and physical database descriptions. Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project. · Review and approve database development and determine project scope and limitations. · Approve, schedule, plan and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems. · Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure. · Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information. · There is also a large emphasis on overall web site\application configuration including IIS settings, log file management, migrations, redundancy facilitation and anything else system related. Skills and Competencies · Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. · Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time. · Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. · *Experience in configuring Microsoft IIS, load balancing, server redundancies and backup solutions*. · *Strong knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, .NET, Oracle, etc, and of computer hardware and software*. · Experience with/knowledge of A/S 400 a plus. Summary · Coordinate changes to databases, test and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. · Responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard web applications, databases, and server configurations. · The technical skills include the ability to write and test web sites\applications. Education/Experience · Bachelor's degree preferred in computer science/engineering or related field, equivalent experience also considered. *8-10 years experience required*.
