*Position:* Senior Cognos BI Developer *Location:* New York City ,NY *Duration : *6 Months + *After Telephonic Interview round Face to Face Interview round is Must . Client is not paying any kind of expenses for Face to Face Travelling .* * * Summary of Position Design, develop, implement, & maintain Business Intelligence reports & applications using Cognos 8 Business Intelligence tools & Business Objects. Analyze business intelligence requirements & develop BI analytical & reporting solutions based on user needs. Support end user ad hoc reporting using the Cognos BI tool suite including Report Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager, Analysis Studio, & Metrics Studio. Assist in installation, administration, upgrades, documentation, & maintenance of the Cognos system infrastructure. Work with IT & business users to provide expertise in problem definition, requirements analysis & general design of BI systems. Principal Accountabilities *Major Activities* *% of Time* Design, develop, implement, & maintain Business Intelligence reports & applications using Cognos 8 Business Intelligence tools. Work with users to analyze business intelligence requirements & translate them into analytical & reporting solution specifications. Assist in installation, administration, upgrades, documentation, & maintenance of the Cognos system infrastructure Provide support to end users for ad hoc reporting using the Cognos BI tool suite including Report Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager, Analysis Studio, & Metrics Studio Assist in the design & development of OLAP data models & Cognos cubes. Provide production support to various BI applications. Job Success Criteria · Successful development, testing, & implementation of Cognos & other BI applications · Maintaining & support of the BI environments · Effective support of end user ad hoc reporting Education & Experience · Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. · 8 years experience in business intelligence & data warehousing development & support · In-depth knowledge & at least 5 years (recent) hands-on development & administrative experience with Cognos Cognos reporting tool suite versions 7 & 8 (Report Studio, Framework Manager, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, Metrics Studio, Transformer, & PowerPlay. · 7 to 10 years experience in a Data Warehouse or Business Intelligence environment providing reporting & analytical support to end users. · Experience with Business Objects a big plus · Knowledge of Web application server architectures & security systems administration · Expert knowledge of (SQL) structured query language · Detailed knowledge & understanding of relational, OLAP, dimensional data models & BI/DW architecture. · Strong systems design, testing, coding, analysis & debugging skills. · Strong problem solving, analytical, project management & communication skills. · Health Care industry experience preferred. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline · Certification in Cognos BI Server Administration & experience with Cognos Enterprise Planning a plus.
