TARA, online backup, windows netbackup . Hands on experience doing database administration tasks in Teradata version 12+ for large scale data warehouse environments (> 8 TB) . Use of Teradata DB Administration tools - PMON, TDMANAGER, Viewpoint, TD ADMINISTRATOR . Experience using Teradata Utilities - BTEQ, FASTLOAD, MULTILOAD, SQL Assistant . DDL and SQL . Teradata Performance Tuning techniques - statistics, partitioning, index strategies, compression, etc. . Scripting and automation skills (linux, unix shell) . Familiarity with data modeling tools and techniques . Experience in database environments where business reporting tools, such as Business Objects and Cognos, are used against Teradata databases . Logical and Physical design techniques which address analytical and/or tactical environments . Good Documentation . Excellent communication skills . Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously . Ability to access situations and prioritize with little supervision . Strong analytical and problem solving skills . Strong troubleshooting skills . Ability to interact well with peers, development support groups and management . To perform Data Quality tests on MIDE Data warehouse. . Resource needs to have extensive SQL experience writing complex queries, preferably in Teradata but oracle or other DBMS are fine too. . Need to have data analysis skills in order to understand OLAP design documents for a 3NF data warehouse and movement data to determine how to perform their data quality testing. .
