The code is in Visual Basic but a C# developer can do the job as well as a VB developer. The contract duration is 6 months but could, and likely will, go longer. The candidate will take direction from manager for daily tasks. The objective is to look at identified problems with a new application that was released. Evaluate the code and determine why errors are happening. Diagnose the problem and determine the best course of action to remedy the code and then perform the necessary changes. *Position #2* This developer position calls for someone with at least 5 years development experience. Should be strong with C#.Net and experience implementing the middle and data tiers for an n-tier application using web services / SOAP technologies. Candidates should be self-sufficient, strong communicators, and should adapt quickly to changes in requirements. Candidates should have proven experience with development of complex distributed systems leveraging web services. *Required Expertise: * n-tier/distributed application development using web services C#.Net experience, Visual Studio 2005, 2008 Thorough understanding of object-oriented design principles Experience with rule-based software implementation Experience with creating business logic and service-oriented architecture Experience with Iterative or Agile rapid delivery process (i.e., SCRUM) Successful delivery of complex systems on tight deadlines *Nice to Have: * Expertise with ORM tools Reporting / business intelligence tools Techniques including performance tuning Essential Job Functions: Participate in design of software to meet business requirements in a highly participatory process Implement code modules in C#.Net supporting windows applications as necessary to meet requirements / design Participate in code reviews, planning sessions and daily status stand-ups *Top Skills * 1.C#.NET, ASP.NET Mid - Senior 5 yrs plus 2.
