2 Backend Oracle Developers – *They prefer ex-Verizon folks who have been away for 12 or more months.* Title: Oracle Developers Location: Irving, TX – *the resource must be on-site*. Duration: 6+ month engagement. Max rate: $40/hr *Position Responsibilities* · Responsible for all aspects of development and support efforts of a revenue assurance applications and platform. · To be able to develop/enhance/debug Windows/Linux/Unix scripts. · Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance. · Participate in Requirements and general design discussions. · To be able to work on multiple projects while managing the production issues. · Manage any production issues that come up on daily basis and to be able to provide on-call production support. · Responsible for providing trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management. · Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team *Required Skills & Experience* · Familiarity with ordering, provisioning and billing processes of Telecommunication products and services including value added services. · Must have 2+ years of working experience in dealing with Revenue/Cost Assurance Processes. · Must have 5 years of database design and programming (SQL/Procedures/Functions/Triggers) knowledge with Oracle and SQL Server RDBMS. · 5 years of experience in developing scripts for Window/Linux/Unix platforms using PERL and Shell scripting languages. · Should be proficient in Oracle (10/11g) and Data Warehousing tools (Moneta, Informatica, Pervasive) · Expertise in PL/SQL developer, TOAD required · Strong data analysis and problem solving skills with focus on attention to detail. · Proficiency in working with MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. · Ability to understand the business requirements impact Data Warehousing and to be able to play data architect role. · Knowledge in working with mainframe COBOL formats and be able to convert the EBCDIC files into ASCII files using Pervasive Data Integrator tool. · Must be well organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter. · Demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision. · Exhibit delivery management & project management skills. · Must be a team player. · Strong verbal and written communication skills. · To be able to work with cross functional IT & business organizations. *Desired Skills & Experience* · Knowledge in creating dashboards and Reports, such as SQL Reporting Services, Crystal Reports and xCelcius. · Knowledge of XML/XSD/style sheets in Oracle is preferable. · Knowledge in working with mainframe COBOL formats and be able to convert the EBCDIC files into ASCII files. · Basic experience in working with mainframe systems. · Ability to multi-task and work under tight schedules. · Innovative, flexible and focused to work on any technology.
