Experience

•         Experience deploying Liferay portal software development and
production lifecycles.
•         Experience developing ongoing operational support models and
tooling for Liferay portal applications.
•         4 year Degree in Computer Science or related area
•         4 years experience providing operational support for
networked enterprise applications, preferably with J2EE applications
and the Unix\Linux operating systems necessary.
•         Previous technical experience should include J2EE, MQSeries,
JDBC, JCA, DB2, industry standard middleware products, UNIX shell
scripting, Oracle and knowledge of Apache based web servers a plus.
Rational experience for stress / performance testing.
•         Familiarity with standard web application monitoring suites,
metrics and knowledge of transactional based monitoring highly
recommended

Responsibilities
•         Partner with TSS technology teams to deploy and maintain
Benefits IT distributed applications and related environments. This
includes implementing required infrastructure, quality assurance,
facilitating upgrades, defining and monitoring service levels.
•         Partner with client’s software development organizations to
deliver applications and services in a timely manner. This includes
participating appropriately in the software development lifecycle
(SDLC) to ensure superior performance and operability under a variety
of operating environments and loads.
•         Plan, execute, and analyze performance/stress tests and
facilitate security audits of the supported systems, as well as assist
in tuning the system to improve performance and security.
•         Be able to implement processes to facilitate global
development, which include distributed source code management,
supporting test applications and environments hosted outside of North
America.
•         Provide coaching and training to Benefits IT Client
Operations on Liferay operations.

•         Partner with internal and external Clients to build and
maintain strong client relationships and work to create win-win
technical solutions. The specialist needs to be able to leverage
client knowledge to anticipate needs and develop effective
relationships with our partners.
•         Make continuous improvement an ongoing focus. The candidate
must be involved in and contribute to innovation and client-focused
efforts to deliver desired business results and process improvements.
•         Partner effectively with geographically distributed
development teams, TSS support teams, and global members of the
operations team itself.
•         Provide 24x7 business systems support on a rotational basis.
The associate needs be able to perform and coordinate triage to
technical problems with business systems.
•         Be able to plan, manage and deliver projects effectively.
•         Provide coaching and training of other teams and individuals
where appropriate.
