Description:
  Our client is looking for a senior J2EE developer with Strong Spring and
Hibernate experience to join their elite development team.  The key person
within this technology stack is leaving for a start-up opportunity. This
person will work directly with C level leadership and needs to have the
soft skills to communicate effectively with people, develop and own project
from scratch.   They need to be flexible because project change.  This
consultant need to be comfortable working in small teams and having
ownership of projectsthink of a startup w/n a multi-million dollar company.
They will work on Content based web applications to supporting the quant
team. This will require lots of help on the services side, data, JSON,
SOAP.  The consultant needs to be comfortable with SQL, iBatis,  Database
querying, Pulling out data

Sr Software Engineer (Middle Tier):
-Minimum 10 years experience, highly motivated, creative and detail
oriented. Must be comfortable in an unstructured, almost startup like,
environment.
-Implementation, deployment, and support of the systems that serve the
needs of Loomis Sayles
-Participate in a small development team involved in full-lifecycle
development efforts which are based J2EE, Linux/Unix, and Spring
technologies
-Responsible for code quality by focusing on code analysis, unit testing,
design and code reviews, continuous integration, release management,
performance tuning, test strategy and execution
-Stay abreast of the "state of the art" as it relates to technology
innovation and trends, both within Loomis and throughout the industry

Skills:
Java
Spring 3 (EJB nice to have)
using service MVC piece of Springnot just web flow Maven automation pieces,
auto wiring.
Web services: Soap, Json, xml, binary (Hessian/Protocol Buffers)
Messaging: JMS (ActiveMQ or MQ Series)
Strong database querying skills, SQL
Hibernate and iBatis
Maven
Source Control: CVS or SVN
Ideally capable of basic UI design in HTML

PLUS:
Fixed Income

Managers like generalists who have used different tech stacks, guys with
some excitement about what they do (if I find blogs, etc), and always a
plus if financial experience. But not mandatory.
