*Duration: 4 Months extended thru 2013*** *Job Description*: Demonstrate thorough knowledge of adult learning concepts and industry-accepted models, including Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE) and Human Performance Improvement (HPI). Develop audience-appropriate, effective and engaging instructional content in partnership with instructors, staff, subject matter experts and business unit management staff. Create web-based training using authoring tools. Create appropriate performance objectives to guide the development of course content. Develop course materials, including job aids, quick-fact reference guides, and other various materials for online and virtual training Participate in the evaluation of training initiatives to ensure effectiveness. Serve as a resource regarding course development, course redesign and technological solutions through needs and gaps analysis. Apply department standards and guidelines for the design and development of instructional services. Review training materials created and/or submitted for accuracy by performing quality assurance checks. Manage project-related documents and source files, updating as necessary. Assist with the implementation of training courses; make recommendations for ongoing program support and improvement. Pro-actively communicate status, issues, and potential project requirements changes to management. Partner and coordinate with Subject Matter Expert (SME) in course design, curriculum development, and material creation. * * *Required Skills*: Ability to communicate effectively in visual, oral and written form and possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Experience in both online and traditional instructor led course design and development Proficiency in Microsoft products; Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer. Intermediate proficiency in eLearning authoring tools, such as Captivate, Articulate, Flash and Photoshop. Ability to create content outlines, storyboards and implementation plans for training delivery. Ability to work independently, multitask and adapt to frequent priority changes. Ability to manage multiple training initiatives within established timelines. Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time. *Required Education and Experience*: BA/BS degree in Educational Technology, Education or related field OR 4 years of relevant experience OR a combination of education and relevant work experience equivalent to 4 years of college 3 or more years experience in a corporate training environment with responsibility for instructional course design, and development.
