Duration : 2 months+ The eBS Software Developer is responsible for working with a global team to implement new processes, projects and functions within the Oracle eBusiness Suite of applications. They will work with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Publisher Relations, Customer Service and other business functions to determine functional needs, develop appropriate business requirements, and translate these into technical requirements and documentation. They will be a key lead for all eBS projects, and will also be expected to bring to the business new ideas and concepts around the use of technology that will allow colleagues to be more efficient and productive. The ability to work on a team, communicate effectively, and provide a liaison relationship between technology and business will be key factors for success. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Required: · Ability to present and communicate complex ideas both to technical and non-technical colleagues. · Ability to proactively suggest concepts and processes around the use of eBusiness Suite and other technology solutions. · Under minimal direction, use and apply principles, processes, experience, and expertise to devise, complete, implement, and analyze solutions for activities and projects. · Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluating criteria for obtaining effective solutions. · Apply principles, processes and experience to complete, implement and assist with activities and projects. · Work on multiple projects at the same time, balancing needs and deadlines, keep management updated on status, propose changes and new projects that will satisfy business needs. · Coordinate the technical requirements determination process. Proactively identify needs for changes to requirements. · Estimate features and functions using standard estimating process and historical information. · Gain a complete understanding of system requirements and effectively communicate them to the implementation team. · Troubleshoot problems of a complex nature without supervision. Shall support systems that he/she has not implemented. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS Required: · *5+ years’ experience with eBusiness Suite 11i or higher. Modules include all Financials, Order Management, Service Contracts, Inventory, iReceivables, Oracle Incentive Compensation, Advanced Pricing modules* · Must have very strong understanding of *Quote to Cash process* · *3+ years in eBusiness Suite performance tuning*, not infrastructure, but code tuning. · 7+ years related software development, software release and SDLC experience. · 3+ years’ experience following a project plan and schedules and being able to deliver project modules on or ahead of schedule. · 5+ years’ experience in reading and understanding functional specifications and detailed design specifications. · Interact with Oracle support to resolve application issues, bugs and TAR/SR management. · Working with Applications Implementation Methodology (AIM), and formulating test strategies/plans for new implementations. · In-depth knowledge of Oracle Applications interface, tables and API's. · Clear understanding of database concepts · Expertise in *RICE (has developed new Reports, Interface, Customization, Extensions & form personalization)* · Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to develop project specifications, schedules, and plans in a software development environment. · Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changes quickly. · Strong functional skills to develop and deliver solutions to bridge gaps in Oracle technologies. Preferred: · Oracle Technical skills including Java/JSP, PL/SQL, JDeveloper , Oracle forms, Workflow Builder, XML Publisher, Discoverer or similar. · Experience with a distributed team model, including successful consensus-building · Motivated individual with excellent problem solving skills · Demonstrated experience with fast-paced, deadline-driven development responsibilities. · Works on multiple projects at one time, balancing needs and deadlines. · Shall support systems that he/she has not implemented. EDUCATION Required: BS degree or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
