*Java Developer with Perl San Diego, CA (preferred local) 12 month contract* *Must-haves* Experience with languages such as Java, JSP, and PERL. (Perl is the most important!) Experience building enterprise web applications with Tomcat and SpringMVC. Good UI exp- JavaScript, jquery, CSS, HTML Experience with technologies such as Servlet, Hibernate, JPA, Jquery and AJAX. good communication Ability to prepare effective technical (design, test document) and non-technical (mock-up, requirements) documentations Ability to translate/port existence PERL web applications to Java web applications Practical understanding of OOP Demonstrated experience working independently and as a team member throughout all stages of software development as follows: gathering requirements, design, development, unit/integration/user test *Plusses *COBOL *Role *Client is looking for a Java Developer who will be taking existing applications written in perl and reading/reviewing the outdated code and re-writing it in java.
