Respond, troubleshoot and resolve issues escalated by the NOC and internal systems, including developing, implementing and deploying emergency hot fixes within a global network environment with advanced configurations . Monitor network utilization, capacity, and quality . Ability to perform fault isolation and resolution in a methodical, thorough manner . Make technical and process recommendations to prevent repeating outages . Interpret operational data to proactively respond to network events . Identify opportunities to automate tasks and maintain operational tools . Work independently within a fast paced environment and deliver results under pressure . Participate in shift work (24x7 rotations) Requirements and Qualification: . Minimum three years experience as a network engineer in a operations role - core routing and switching expertise is required . Experience configuring and debugging systems running Cisco NX OS, JunOS, and Citrix Netscaler . Demonstrable ability to troubleshoot problems in unfamiliar configurations and in complex systems . Demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills, particularly as it relates to issue diagnosis and resolution . Experience with network management applications and related protocols such as SNMP and Netflow . Experience with common routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP . Excellent customer communication skills . Demonstrable ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision . Prior experience working in a 24/7 operational environment . Willing to work day, swing and night shifts .
