*JOB SUMMARY * • Highly specialized in Spring based application architecture/design and development • Serve as lead or technical expert to define and maintain the architectural frameworks/patterns, processes, standards and guidelines related to data services architecture; conduct studies of new technologies to provide more efficient and cost effective architecture solutions; • Define data services per core and support technology, data entities, business functions and/or subject areas that transcend organizational and functional boundaries. • Provide technical and architectural subject matter expertise to the various development teams including communicating architectural decisions and mentoring other technical staff around the various development technologies and decisions. • Identify core common data shared across the enterprise and participate in enterprise wide efforts to reach common understanding of those data. • May serve as lead, technical expert or project manager to team(s) concerned with development, networking and/or project management to coordinate changes and support enterprise technology initiatives. • Oversee multiple projects in order to preserve the architectural vision and protect stakeholder interests as well as to meet operational and financial reporting requirements • Confer with business units and application development staff to understand both the business and technical requirements and to define detailed reusable design • Create performance metrics and traceability maps to determine the effectiveness of technical design and facilitate governance. Keep abreast of relevant architecture best practices. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS • Hands-on experience in Enterprise Data Services development and delivery using SOA architecture . This is a key required skill. • Hands-on experience with heavy Spring based development etc. This is a key required skill. "Spring Integration Framework" expertise is highly regarded. • At least 4-5 years as a team lead and/or architect of Spring Architecture/Design/Devopment based solutions • Highly specialized in XML/XSLT and other XML related tools and technologies • 10+ years of experiences in full life cycle of application/system development • Minimum 8 years hands on development/programming with Java, J2EE, XML, Web Services. • Minimum 7 years experience developing in distributed applications development (Database, Transaction Management) • Minimum 6 years experience writing conceptual and detailed design documents, including UML diagrams. • Minimum 6 years experience in developing large scale enterprise application • Defining Data Services strategy, target state architecture, roadmap and cost/benefit analysis of various data services related projects/Initiatives • Delivering solution architecture, High-Level Design and key code components for the data services Program • Ability to Identify/delineate, Master/Reference data from transactional/operational data • Presenting architecture and design alternatives at the architecture review board, several management and technology meetings to get consensus. • Expertise in Data integration and access patterns • Service oriented architecture as it related to vending shared data including best practices • Strong communicator with team lead capabilities to provide technical leadership end-to-end on data services projects • Strong ability to understand and represent high level technical capabilities. General understanding of technical applications and systems. • Strong understanding of SOA concepts, design patterns, tools, techniques and best practices • Must have proven ability to provide project estimates and work-breakdown schedules. • Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written.
