Key Responsibilities: Network (LAN/WAN/WLAN) design and implementation Develop and document templates and standards for supporting the network infrastructure. Configure switches and routers to be deployed in various Corning sites Implement and troubleshoot wireless networks, lightweight and autonomous Ability to perform packet capture and analysis Able to work with spreadsheets, drawings, and word documents Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls to isolate non-compliant devices on the network. Work with the team to complete complex switch and router installations Respond to customer requirements and ensure that customer needs are being met by IT. Assist with cross-functional project/issues/problems that are complex or difficult to resolve. Job Requirements: 5+ years of experience in LAN troubleshooting and design. Strong experience in WAN/Internet desirable 5+ years IT experience working across a number of technology areas, with at least 1 year working as a senior engineer or similar technology role. Self-motivated and able to work independently and in virtual teams Recognized as a technology SME (subject matter expert) in prior position Good communication skills both verbal and written, and working with others. Proficient knowledge of switches, routers, firewalls, and all associated protocols.
