*Please send resume to s...@cncconsulting.com * Job Title: UNIX/Linux System Administrator Location: NYC Duration: 3 Months Rate: $50/hr on C2C Need 7 years or IT Direct Client Position Note: initial phone interview but will require an in-person A NYC government agency, located in Midtown Manhattan, is looking for a Systems Administrator with at least 7 years’ experience in both Windows and UNIX systems for an 8 to 12 week contract. The consultant will work onsite and take direction from agency personnel to deploy Data Center equipment. Normal work hours will be M-F 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, with occasional overtime and weekend work. Some work may be required downtown and in Brooklyn, NY. Mandatory Requirements: --Must possess hands on experience in installation, administration, configuration, and tuning of the following: --UNIX (Solaris) including Solaris LDOMs --Linux (Red Hat) --Windows Server --Vmware --NetWare to Windows migrations --NDS Migrator/Quest software Desirable Requirements: --Must possess hands on experience in installation, administration, configuration, and tuning of the following: --Microsoft Print Services --HP Access Control Secure Pull Printing --Wireless Networking --NetBackup --Ability to work independently --Excellent oral and written communication skills Job Description: --The consultant will install, configure, and tune IT equipment. --Review requirements documentation and offer feedback and alternatives. --Meet with the project group to discuss expectations and concerns. --Prepare a requirements document as directed so that the expectations and responsibilities of both the agency and the vendor are fully clarified and deliverables are well defined.
