Looking forward to hear from you... *Role: Senior Software Engineer/Application Developer* *Location: ** **Pittsburgh, PA* *Duration: ** **12 Months* *Rate: ** **$/hr on C2C All Incl.* *Works Closely With:* Development Team * * *Responsibilities/Accountability:* The Senior Application Developer is expected to play a key role in the architectural design of solutions, during both solution design meetings and coding. · Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. · Experience in object oriented software development. · Knowledge in designing, refactoring, and unit testing. · Experience in identifying the technical tasks from the functional design document (Work Item Break Down) · Process Diagram. · Data Modeling. · Design Patterns. · Design efficient solutions and implement the same to meet project deadlines. · Learning and adapting to different architectures is essential. · Should possess a passion to learn the specialty pharmacy business. *Coding Skills, Practices And Standards:* The Application Senior Developer should have a broad understanding of various coding methodologies, testing practices, and tools and know when to apply each method to achieve the desired outcomes. The Senior Application Developer is expected to promote Test Driven Development Practices within the team, ensuring that Unit Test and Acceptance Tests are implemented to confirm that acceptance criteria (i.e. behaviors) are met. *Process Improvements:* The Senior Application Developer is expected to provide advice to the Application Manager on how processes and procedures may be improved to promote good coding practice amongst the team. *System Knowledge:* The Senior Application Developer is expected to build, share and retain critical in‐depth knowledge of the systems developed , such as the ScriptMed, Analytics, Collaboration and any new products develop. *Programming Skills, Experience And Knowledge:* · At least 5 years of experience in Windows Forms and Web Development. · Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 to 4.0. · 2 – 3 years of experience in WCF. · 1 – 2 years of experience in Silverlight. · At least 3 years of experience in Database development. · 1 – 2 years of experience with Performance Tools such as Ants Memory Profiler. · Any SOA experience is a plus. · A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Software/Information technology/Information Science related discipline is preferred, associate’s degree required. · Healthcare/Pharmaceutical related industry experience is a plus.
