Role -: SAN admin Duration -: 7 months Location -: St. Paul MN Rates -: Market D.O.E. Must-haves - 5+ years of storage experience supporting enterprise storage production environments. - NetApp - SAN, NAS experience supporting VMWare - Unix and Windows OS experience - Candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects simultaneously. Candidate should demonstrate excellent customer service, technical leadership and oral/written communication skills. - Expertise in multiple SAN and NAS vendor environments, NetApp, HDS, and HP a plus - SAN expertise - configuration, Zoning on Fiber Channel Switches, multi-pathing, load balancing, iSCSI configuration, and replication (HUR, SnapMirror) - NAS expertise - configuration, CIFS & NFS, SnapManager products, Snapshots, SnapMirror, OSSV, Protection Manager, OnCommand Software family, and De-duplication). - Expertise in performance monitoring and performance tuning. A strong ability to diagnose and pinpoint problems. - Solid skills with 24x7x365 production time-critical environments. - Technical project implementations relevant to Storage Services. - Operations experience with asynchronous, semi-synchronous, & synchronous data mirroring of both file system & Database. - Networking understanding and relevant experience. Plusses Day-to-Day - This position will specialize in the Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) environments business units. - Current storage systems environment supports Open Systems (Linux, Sun Solaris, HP-UX), VMS, VMWARE and Windows 2003/2008/2012 with a SAN architecture of HP and NAS with NetApp and backup with NetBackup. - Systems provide continuous availability of production applications and systems in a 24x7x365 E-commerce and internal business environment. - Core responsibilities and accountability to include; implementation and operations accountability for SAN/NAS Architecture and Support, Data backup and Recovery operations.
