Local preferred Phone and face to face this week (no skype) Well rounded front and back We have an immediate need for 2 . NET Developer for long term contracts (renewing every 6 months). Multi year terms are likely. Requires and phone screen and a face to face interview. (hiring manager preferrs candidates that have worked on long term assignements not just short ones.) This person will be a part of a team of about 20 developers. This team supports 2 major applications for the client. The application that this person will be working on mostly is an online application for searching public records data. This product is about $140 million in revenue for the company. It searches any type of public records information (drivers licenses, property records, bankruptcies, etc). They are running about 300,000 searches a day, and thus there will be extensive production/operations support and maintenance to the system. The client also builds analytic products on the data offerings, and sells these reports to their clients. Although this is a lot of support development, this group does get assigned projects as well which will be new development. This is a long term contract, and will renew every 6 month. The majority of programming will be .Net and C#, but we want someone who is experienced in doing front end development as well focusing on HTML and web development. This person should be proficient with object oriented programming and web services. Below is the formal description. Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Provides technical support to project team members. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to an executive or a manager. Work will involve maintenance and development support for an existing Windows 2008, IIS 7, .NET 4.0 application. Javascript, Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C#, XSLT and XML are required skills. Experience with SQLServer, SQL, SOAP and REST is preferred. Experience with Subversion, CruiseControl, JQuery, StructureMap and NUnit are a bonus.
