*Position* – Connect:Direct Engineer *Experience *– 5 to 10 years *Location – *Work-from-Home *Length* – 6+ month Contract *Max Pay Rate - *$50/hour ***Must be able and willing to convert PERM. Citizen or GC.*** Targeted Skills: 5 to 10 years working experience with file transfer products, specifically *Connect Direct* and Websphere MQFTE. Experience in creating and implementing communication protocols such as FTP, SFTP, and FTPS. Proficient with managing file transfers to and from mainframe. Experience with large migration, integration and consolidation efforts of file transfer platforms. Demonstrated experience managing file transfer projects, and working as a subject matter expert for the Connect Direct and MQFTE platforms. Proficient in utilizing various operating systems and the installation of Connect Direct and MQFTE agent software on Windows, Linux, AIX, mainframe and Solaris. Unix and Windows scripting capabilities are a plus. Designing, troubleshooting and supporting a multi-site, multi-tier systems environment, with corporate data center facilities. Financial services experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communications skills required. Expected Responsibilities: Translates application and project deliverables and requirements into specific tasks for implementation. Acts as engineering lead for projects requiring file transfer capabilities with moderate budget and short to intermediate time duration. Functions as a single point of contact for assigned file transfer applications. Design, analyze, and implement file transfer solutions based on project or application requirements. Identifies root cause of issues and guides team to holistic solutions. Provides business focused technical leadership expertise to support application design, management and transformation. Assist with specific compliance issues from both a technical and business perspective. Coordinates with release management organization to control release of patches/upgrades to the application infrastructure. The position will be responsible to provide on-call support in a 24/7 environment for complex production impacting technical issues and work to troubleshoot and restore service. Tasks and Responsibilities: Utilizes expertise of other team members and leverages other resources across the organization to develop and implement complex systems. May be aligned to a specific business unit to provide file transfer support and manage project efforts. Works with information security to identify and coordinate security requirements for the application life cycle. Suggested Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related science or relevant experience Desired Skill sets: Connect Direct/NDM, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris, IBM Mainframe.
