SERVICES
Duties will include maintenance and enhancement of existing databases and
software applications used to track and record activities within the
Bureau, development of new applications and databases in response to new
legislative or administrative initiatives, and updating the existing
databases and applications within the Bureau to ensure that they are
compliant and interface appropriately with the new Statewide Financial
System ("SFS") and other relevant internal and external systems. The
Candidate will be responsible to build both Intranet and Internet web
applications to support the Bureau's responsibilities related to the
Bureau's systems. In order to accomplish this mission, it will be necessary
for the Candidate to become intimately familiar with the multiple
applications that are currently being used in the Bureau. The Candidate
should be familiar with MS Access, Oracle, PeopleSoft, and Crystal Reports.
REQUIREMENTS
The Candidate must:
2: Have at least eight years experience in database design and application
programming, four years of which must be in MS Access and four years of
which must be in Oracle database applications.
3: Have at least three years experience with each of the following: VBA,
DAO, ADO, and Active X Controls.
4: Have at least five years experience developing advanced SQL.
5: Have at least three years experience developing web applications using
Cold Fusion.

*Creating, modifying, implementing and updating MS Access databases and
related Oracle databases
*Developing system requirements
*Coordinating with other technical units, as needed
*Creating database design and developing the database, user interfaces, and
application code
*Developing queries and reports
*Coordinating testing with users
*Developing user and technical documentation
*Providing training and user support
*Performing research and reporting to management on various technology
issues facing the Bureau
*Developing Intranet and Internet applications
*Conducting knowledge transfer sessions with State staff on functionality
and technology used
*Developing customized reports pulling data from multiple databases
