Yrs. of experience: - 7 year



*Skill Sets -*



1.      Experience in relational database design, data structures, schemas,
scripting, access methods, data standards, data control, and security.

2.      Excellent PL/SQL programming skills (CREATE STORE PROCEDURE /
TRIGGER ETC.)  & SQL writing.

3.      Expert in UNIX and shell scripts for automation.

4.      Experience of Oracle Scheduler and Advanced queues.

5.      DB performance tuning skills (SQL & Memory), good understanding of
parallel processing & AWR report

6.      Export/Import, Data Pump hands on experience.

7.      Hand on exercises in Golden Gate.

8.      Working knowledge of multiple operating systems and database
platforms, hardware/storage configurations and networks.

9.      Working knowledge of n-tier applications architectures

10.   Worked with different versions of Oracle including latest 11g

11.   Knowledge of tools and technologies related to database advancements
and very proficient knowledge and hands on toad

12.   Strong analytical skills of system flows and processes; structured
thinking.

13.   Maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data
Protection Act



Roles & Responsibility

1.      Works closely with PDBA / developers to design databases and then
creates primary database storage structures (tablespace) and objects
(tables, views, indexes.)

2.      Writing database documentation, including data standards,
procedures and definitions for the data dictionary ('metadata').

3.      Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast
query responses to 'front end' users;

4.      Performs and documents effective tuning, monitoring and security
practices for the various Oracle environments.

5.      Mapping out the 'conceptual design' for a planned database in
outline;

6.      Considering both 'back end' organization of data and 'front end'
accessibility for end users;

7.      Refining the 'logical design' so that it can be translated into a
specific data model;

8.      Controlling access permissions and privileges;

9.      Communicating regularly with technical, applications and
operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.

10.   Have to work with large-scale, highly available distributed Oracle
systems.

11.   Establishing the needs of users and monitoring user access and
security;

12.   Ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are
functioning correctly;
