We have an urgent req from our client based in Grapevine, TX. plz send me suitable profile with contact details ASAP Role Cognos Technical Lead Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills * '7+ years of experience in the field of Data warehousing * 5 or more experience in Cognos 8.x and 10.x tools such as Report Studio, Business Insight, Active Report and etc. * Experience working in Cognos Framework Manager * Strong knowledge and experience in SQL and MDX syntax and development. * Extensive experience developing reports, dashboards, and cubes in Cognos Reporting * Advanced SQL coding skills * Solid understanding of Data Modeling concepts * Technical team management experience including offshore team members * Excellent personal communication, leadership, and organizational skills * Retail related data warehousing experience a plus * Hands on development in BI reporting and Performance tuning Roles and responsibility ü Responsbile to understand Business requirements,user requirements and Conceptualiztion of the solution ü Responsible for Cogonos Reports development and followign standards ü Lead Offshore and onsite Cognos development team to ensure requirements and standars are meet. ü Work with the application development teams throughout the development life cycle ü Evaluate new Business Intelligence technologies, features, and products ü Lead or participate in Proof-of-Concept projects ü Stay current with emerging industry trends ü Ability to take initiative and ownership on tasks ü Create Detail design document based on the business requirement ü Create/Update Cognos reports and Frame Work as per the requirements ü Create/Update reports, dynamic dashboards,Drilldown reports as per the requirements ü Good written and oral communication ü Explain complex design items through documents and white-board sessions ü SQL knowledge and performance tuning experience needed Desirable Technical / Functional Skills Work with different teams - Business, Solutions - BI, Portal and team of Architects to create overall BI user interface, Implement Cognos solutions with complete considerations on Infrastructure capability, performance, supportability to achieve end user business results.
