Title: Business System Analyst posted on 2014-04-22 07:27:10 Job Description:As a Technology business analyst you will: partner with business associates from other departments within the individual segment to define their needs and participate in the development of system solutions that bring about resolution. You will implement best-known practices and develop key relationships with all impacted business areas. · Partner with associates in other business areas to define business needs and help translate those needs into system requirements · Develop project documentation, including scope and requirement documents, use cases, test scenarios and test cases · Prioritize defects and enhancement requests from business partners - Experience in Healthcare as a business system Analyst - Analyze and triage application related issues - Ensure issues are tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner, working in tandem with development team - Design solutions to application and process to suit the business requirements - Work with business owners and identify changes required in the application - Responsible for gathering, documenting and tracking requirements for change requests - Prepare and execute functional test cases - Coordinate UAT effort with business owners - Consult with managers to determine the role of the IT system in an organization - Research emerging technologies to decide if installing them can increase the organization's efficiency and effectiveness - Prepare an analysis of costs and benefits so that management can decide if computer upgrades are financially worthwhile - Devise ways to make existing computer systems meet new needs - Oversee installing and configuring the new system to customize it for the organization - Do tests to ensure that the systems work as expected - Train the system's end users and write instruction manuals, when required - Review, back up, and update systems regularly, documenting changes and system operation. - Compile, analyze, and evaluate data from multiple sources to provide decision-making information. - Coordinate, manage, and lead technical support for new products, software, upgrades, or equipment. - Configure systems for optimal end user support, including disaster recovery and scheduled downtime plans. - Oversee installing and configuring the new system to customize it for the organization Job Requirements: Builds Trust: You honor your word by doing what you say you are going to do. · Drives for excellence: You are a continuous learner who encourages others to learn.
