*Please send resume to s...@cncconsulting.com <s...@cncconsulting.com> * Job Title: Network Security Analyst Location: Columbia, SC Duration: 6 Months Direct Client Position Job# 5561 SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: Assist Division of Information Security to deploy systems, processes and procedures to identify traces and indicators of compromise/malware on individual host (s), network (s) and/or system (s) up to and including the enterprise level. Help develop, tune and train responders in computer emergency response procedures. Assist security operations with deep dive forensics analysis of information security incidents and any possible propogation/lateral move and data exfiltration within the enterprise. Assist with validating system and process security checks. Daily Duties / Responsibilities: Work with Security Operations Center to identify deeper forensics and correlation capabilities in existing data and gaps in data collection/analysis systems and procedures. Document, refine and train responders on incident response procedures for division personnel and supported agencies. Identify and develop solutions for preventing, detecting and mitigating risks to information systems. Validate security checks and reporting meet established standards Develop guiding documentation for agencies to deploy approved security solution within their agencies. Conduct training as necessary to division and agency personnel on security processes, procedures and methodologies to ensure security event information is properly identified, correlated, documented and mitigated in accordance with department standards. Additional Skills: REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): Expert level understanding of computer and network operating system fundamentals (Unix, Linux, Window, MacOS, Cisco, Juniper, etc.) Expert understanding of information, computer and network security. Expert understanding of file system structures and methods used to obfuscate and conceal data and malicious software. Computer Emergency Response processes and procedures Track record of using automated tools to locate and identify data in differing and obfuscated formats. PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): Cyber Awareness and understanding Reverse engineering of executable / malware.
