This position requires a strong Microsoft ASP.NET skill set with a knack to develop complex custom applications. The Developer will collaborate with other developers in the team and key stakeholders to assess requirements, develop code and debug. The candidate will assist in testing, change management, quality assurance (QA), software roll-out and documentation efforts. *REPORTS TO**:* Director Software Solutions*SPECIFIC TYPES OF KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * · 7 seven years industry experience in general software development methodologies · Must have five years’ experience with *C#, .NET development and Object Oriented programming* · At least 3 three years of direct experience in *.NET and SQL Server* · Must have experience in building *ASP.NET <http://ASP.NET> MVC and Web API applications* · Must have experience in *Javascript Framework. Familiarity with KnockoutJs* is a plus. · Strong understanding of *Webservice/XML required* · Experience in *Erlang* is a plus · Experience in *Linux system administration and networking is a plus* · Experience in *programming interactions with hardware devices is a plus* · Experience developing technical documentation and test plans · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is desired *Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria:* · Familiarity with business application development utilizing RAD (Rapid Application Development) framework (Aptify is a plus) · Experience retrieving, evaluating and reporting data using BI (Business Intelligence) tools · Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Certification a plus · Excellent verbal/written communication skills Low to medium travel required*PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:* *Development*: Develop reusable web and database code components using .NET technologies namely C# and ASP.NET which includes front end, server side and database development. *Teamwork*: Collaborate with Residence Solutions team and third party service providers on an ongoing basis to analyze requirements, bug fixing, QA, testing and other critical development tasks.
