Looking forward to hear from you... *Role: GIS Developer* *Location: Austin, TX* *Duration: Long Term* *Rate: Open* *Job Description:* · 5+ years of direct experience working with GIS Tools and applications such as ESRI’s ArcMap, ArcCatalog, and ArcGIS Server. · *Knowledge of GIS data structures, including topology* and also must be familiar with practices for editing GIS data. · 5+ years’ experience working with scripting languages. · Python and JavaScript knowledge are essential. · Should be able to work with JQuery. · Should know how to use JavaScript and Ajax/XHR to create responsive web clients that consume JSON services. · Experience with a JavaScript framework like Dojo, Ember.JS, or Angular is a plus. · Ability to coordinate work and communicate effectively with other team members. o Can effectively document algorithms and programming APIs implemented by code they developed. o Is able to investigate problems and find solutions even when the initial requirements may be incompletely spelled out. o Can quickly learn new technology and apply it in practice. o Knowledge of, and ability to work with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). *Optional qualifications:* · Experience with ArcSDE and versioned editing and developing applications that support GIS versioning and reconciliation. · Experience working with ArcPy and ESRI GeoProcessing tools is a plus. · Experience with ArcGIS server and authoring and publishing map services and GeoProcessing tools for server. · Ability to tune, configure, or optimize ArcSDE databases.
